Water - The lifeblood of our Planet:

It touches our lives in every way. Whether we need it for drinking, food and electricity. We cannot have enough of it. We cannot have too little of it. Certain states in our country which are prone to drought will agree.

India's main revenue earner, Agriculture, is totally dependent on the availability of water. And is annually at the mercy of the monsoons.

As much as 54.7% of India’s land mass is taken up by agriculture, so one can get a fair idea of the significance of this precious and scarce resource, which is more often than not, taken for granted. How significant? Well, in a predominantly agro-economy, it has a considerable bearing on India's GDP, not to mention even the SENSEX !
